Privacy Policy

The short version

TabCellar stores your tab and session data only in your own browser, on your own device. We do not upload it to a server, we do not track your browsing, and we do not sell data. There is no TabCellar account and no TabCellar database of your tabs.

1. Data the extension handles

To do its job, the TabCellar extension reads the titles and URLs of the tabs you save, and stores your saved tab groups, backups and settings in Chrome's local extension storage on your device. Backups older than 7 days are deleted automatically.

Previous-session recovery. So that you can get your tabs back after your browser closes or crashes, TabCellar also keeps a local list of the URLs and titles of the tabs that are open in your browser windows. This list stays on your device, is replaced as you browse, and up to three previous sessions are kept until you dismiss them. You can switch this off at any time in the extension's settings ("Remember open tabs so I can recover my previous session"); switching it off immediately stops the recording and deletes the list and any kept previous sessions.

This data:

  • never leaves your device through TabCellar;
  • is not transmitted to us or to any third party;
  • is deleted when you delete it in the extension, clear the extension's storage, or uninstall the extension.

Exports you create (manually or, on Pro, on a schedule) are files downloaded through your browser to your own device. What you do with those files is up to you.

2. What we do not collect

  • No browsing data is sent to us or to anyone else: the tabs you save and the open-tab list used for session recovery stay on your device.
  • No analytics or tracking of your browsing activity.
  • No advertising identifiers, and no sale or sharing of personal data for marketing.
  • No account registration for the free version.

2a. Limited use

Limited Use. TabCellar does not sell or transfer user data to third parties, does not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to saving, restoring and protecting your tabs, and does not use user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending. No one at Lukas Labs can read your tab data, because it never leaves your device.

3. Payments

If you buy TabCellar Pro, payment is handled by our payment processor, which acts as merchant of record. The processor collects the payment details needed to complete your purchase (such as your name, email address and payment method) under its own privacy policy. We receive a confirmation that a licence is active — we do not receive or store your full payment card details. Licence validation checks are limited to verifying that a Pro licence is valid; they do not include any of your tab or browsing data.

4. This website

This website is a static site. It does not set tracking cookies and does not run third-party analytics. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and operation, as is normal for web hosting.

5. Email

If you email us at 23358383@qq.com, we will use your message only to respond to you and to provide support. We do not add you to marketing lists.

6. Children

TabCellar is a general productivity tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Any change that altered the local-only nature of the product would be announced clearly before taking effect.

8. Contact
